We have had many of our patients inquire about healthier recommendations about products to use in our daily basis. A non toxic lifestyle is something to work little by little and we are happy to help along the way in this process.

Why to use non toxic cleaning products?

One hundred thousand chemicals are used commercially. Cleaning products are among the most toxic substances that can be found in the average home. Most household cleaners are hazardous to health and the environment. In recent years, toxic chemicals have been implicated in the rising incidence of asthma, autism, childhood cancer, leukemia, and reduced sperm count.

“Cleaning ingredients vary in the type of health hazard they pose. Some cause acute, or immediate, hazards such as skin or respiratory irritation, watery eyes, or chemical burns, while others are associated with chronic, or long-term, effects such as cancer… The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health has found that one-third of the substances used in the fragrance industry are toxic. But because the chemical formulas of fragrances are considered trade secrets, companies aren’t required to list their ingredients , but merely label them as containing “fragrance.”” -Organic Consumers Association

Non-toxic cleaners are perfectly safe around children, keep the air you breathe clean , don’t harm the environment and keep your body from getting to many unnecessary toxins.

We recommend the following items as great alternatives for household products that are Eco friendly, non toxic to the environment and most importantly for your health.
