About Us

Ashlin earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2015. Born and raised in Bluffton, South Carolina, she began her career in oncology at MUSC, where she spent five years caring for adult oncology patients, administering chemotherapy, and supporting patients through bone marrow transplants.

In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned into case management at MUSC. In this role she coordinated care across two intensive care units as well as Surgical Oncology and the Lung Transplant service. She later expanded her experience through travel nursing, working in a variety of hospital settings beginning in late 2021-2024.

After a decade in high-acuity hospital nursing, Ashlin found herself burned out. Years of chronic stress and sleep deprivation had taken a toll, and she began experiencing health challenges that conventional medicine alone could not fully address. In 2024 she stepped away from bedside nursing for a year to focus on her own healing. During that time, she discovered Functional Medicine and began applying its principles to restore her health.

That personal journey deepened her commitment to helping others and led her to Merge Medical Center in May 2025. Ashlin is passionate about patient education and empowering people with a clearer understanding of their bodies so they can experience a higher quality of life. She approaches patient care with the belief that true healing addresses root causes through nutrition, lifestyle, and the powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Outside of work, Ashlin enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She also enjoys reading and continuously learning new things. She spends as much time as possible outdoors and loves adventure. Dedicated to her hot yoga practice for over 15 years, she emphasizes the importance of movement and finding balance through daily meditation and mindfulness. She believes in the power of gratitude and how a grateful heart has the ability to shift energy, deepen connections, and make the world a little brighter—one intentional moment at a time.
